Haunting Past

Analyze this: He is well educated, has a good job, good family, great friends, he is almost sure of the path for his life.
Looks cool, this guy is for sure a happy man on this planet of misery! But hey...ask him, is he happy? No, he is not!

This is true for most of "well-to-do" youngsters these days...they have it all, yet happiness is missing from their lives. But why so, they are living a decent present with a promising future ahead. The answer lies in the thing which is not revealed...that is their past.

Let's go back to that guy in the first line...his journey till date has been filled with both joys and sorrows. He witnessed great happiness when he scored highest marks in his class, or when he was chosen the captain of his school cricket team. He enjoyed that great family trip last summer, and how can he forget those fabulous days he spent with his loved friends! But then, he also can't forget the day he got his first semester result...for the first time he scored low grades! Then, how much he repented when he couldn't get that desired job. Sad memories of those days when his family was in pain, and those when he lived alone in an alien city. And how much he suffered when he unwillingly had to leave the person he loved the most!

So...although today he has a so-called "nice" life, yet he is not happy because his past still haunts him. The fear of failures he had in the past...be it in his career or relationships. He has this good job today, but he can't forget failure in his last job. He is living well with his family today, but he can't forget the days he had to live without them. He once again has someone to love in his life, but he is insecure because of haunting memories of his past relationship.

But then he can't change his past! He should be happy for what all he has in his present. Easier said than done! There is one missing element in all this theory, that is the significance of the past. If memories of the past were just meant to haunt and hurt us, then God would have not made our brain so powerful to retain details of our past. God makes us remember our past, for he wants us to take learning from our past and implement it in our present. For this guy...something went wrong in the last job interview, and he learned from his mistakes and so he has this good job today. He must have made some mistakes in his past relationship, but this time he won't repeat those mistakes and will play safe. His haunting past will help him to carve a better future. He might not be happy today, but in near future he will be happy for sure! He will get all that he deserves, his learning from his past will make him fit for life ahead.

This goes for all of us...we might not be happy today because our past haunts us, but just apply the learning from your past to your present, and be ready to embrace your bright future with a big smile!

Good write up.. keep it up.

Don't take me otherwise but I feel a void in all your writeup's. Something very major has been missing in all your writeup's. Not sure wat but guess the objective with which you start writing get lost while framing.

There are very gud words, intelligence, experience but no feelings !!!!!!!

Actually, they seem incomplete.
Feel free to write whats going in your mind.
